Privacy Policy

TiltCast ("we", "our", or "us") is a macOS application that streams your iPhone screen into a 3D scene for recording. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to operate the product:

• Email address — collected at purchase via Stripe Checkout. Used to deliver your license, send transactional receipts, and link your purchase to an account if you create one.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• License entitlement — a record of your plan (Free, Pro, or Lifetime) stored in our database so the app can verify your access.
• Crash reports — if you opt in, anonymised crash data is sent to help us fix bugs. No screen content is included.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not record, store, or transmit your iPhone screen content. All screen streaming happens locally between your iPhone and your Mac over USB or your local Wi-Fi network.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
• We do not use analytics SDKs that track your behaviour across apps or websites.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To fulfil your purchase and deliver license entitlements.
• To send transactional emails (receipt, license confirmation).
• To respond to support requests you initiate.
• To improve the app using anonymised, aggregated crash data (opt-in only).

4. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — secure database for license records. Data is stored in the US. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your email and license record for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide support. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@tiltcast.app.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@tiltcast.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

TiltCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
